  1. This poem is about someone having just died and someone else is sad and notices the beauty in something simple. This poem could also mean that someone is dying and they are looking out the window and see a red wheelbarrow glazed with rainwater and notice the beauty in something so simple. Either way, this poem is about seeing beauty in the common or simple aspects of life.

  2. This poem is about a wheelbarrow that is wet next to chickens. I think its talking about like a farm or something. In farms they raise things to die and in this instance its chickens being raised to be killed and eaten. So the wheelbarrow is signifying the death of the farm animals.

  3. This poem is about someone who tends chickens and may of lost something. I also think that this is symbolizing some type of death to either farm animals or something dear to the person.

  4. The poem means that so much in life depends on the little things, such as a random wheelbarrow. The rain might symbolize sadness or darkness. The chickens might symbolize purity, because they are white. I think this is trying to say that you have to focus on both the good and bad things in life. The rain being the hard times in life and the chickens representing the good times.

  5. This poem talks about how life depends not only on the big things but also on the little things like a wheel barrow. This poem, although it is short, has great detail in the little information written. It is not only a wheel barrow but it is red, and it is glazed with rain water. It is placed near the chickens, which are white. This is probably imagery of a farm.

  6. This poem is an imaginary poem because it gives the reader something that we can actually see, but its not there. But I think this poem is trying to say that its so much in life that depends on the little things, such as anything random, and its letting the readers know that life isn't just important for just focusing on big things.

  7. I think this poem is saying that everyone tries to make everything so complicated. Somethings are just simple, and that's the way they are. People always try to over analyze what they see, instead of just taking in what was given to them originally.

  8. i think this poem is showing that everything is important, even things as simple as a wheel barrow in the rain beside chickens. i think this is just to show us that everything fits in no matter how important.

  9. Karis' post is exactly what I thought when I read the poem. People take things and try so hard to find a hidden meaning in it. Not everything has symbolism to it. If they took things for what they truly were then it would be much less complicated. MLS

  10. I believe this poem id discussing the over complicated way of life that we live in today. I think it is trying to go back to the days where men worked on farms and raised chickens for there family to eat. It is basically saying what happened to our world. The world where rain determined if would be able to eat, and rain determined if you would go outside and play and work or if you would stay inside and grow closer to your family.

  11. I think that this poem is about a red wheel barrow that is red next to chickens. I think that the wheel barrow might b carrying something and that is why stuff depends on it. It could also be important because its wet and that might make it slippery. That could represent something bad. Also there were chickens.

  12. I think The Poem "The Red Wheelbarrow" is showing the amount of importance that the small things in life are. The author uses the small red wheel barrow to show you cannot for get about the things that my not be your first priority but still matters.

  13. When I read this poem I imagine the wheelbarrow as key tool. It seems as if this wheelbarrow is used for work on the farm. Something about this wheelbarrow is essential in a task on the farm. It possibly helps with feeding the chickens. Although, right now it is raining and cannot be in use.

  14. I think that this poem is talking about the significance the small things in life that mostly go unnoticed until something happens where we realize how important they are.

  16. This poem represents many different ideas. Something so simple, the wheel barrow, could be used as something unique. To know that the wheel barrow is glazed with rain water makes this poem seem so much more detailed. I believe that this has to do with death, but also some type of miracle. This is because it starts out with everything depending on this one object. Then, ends up being glazed with water that makes the wheel barrow glisten.

  17. If I remember correctly, some people say that when he wrote this poem, he was seeing someone in a hospital (, but I forgot who...). Just seeing someone in a hospital would make you sad (or at least in my opinion). You tend to notice the simpler things in life. and so much does depend on the red wheel barrow and white chickens. You use the wheel barrow to carry things such as tools for farming, holding crops, and such. Therefore it takes less time to carry them, which gives you more time to tend to crops and do different tasks. By taking care of chickens, you get eggs (and chicken in general) for food, and feathers for pillows, furniture, pillows, clothing, etc. Those have another purpose that we also depend on. So many things depend on smaller things.
